Place : Merthyr Tydfil
Date : 21 June 2003
As usual we made our yearly pilgrimage to Merthyr Tydfil for the Welsh national Championships. This year being possible the hottest of all days, which was nice.
I must congratulate everybody who entered for the spirit and effort which they demonstrated. I can honestly say that I was proud to nervously watch each and every club member in their events, even if they we unsuccessful it was only by the smallest of margins.
I was particularly impressed with both Alice Griffiths and Vivian Watson-Smith who demonstrated such a strong martial attitude and determination, which was rewarded with high rankings in all their events.
