On the 19^th April 2008 – Sensei Simon Thompson and Sensei Clive Davies both passed their 4^th Dan Examination with Sensei Sherry and Sensei Poynton.

This is a grade we had never considered was possible and is the highest grade the club has ever had. It is a great endorsement of the clubs strength that we where able to develop to a level high enough to attain this grade.

I would like to thank everybody who helped during the run up to the grading especially the never ending coaching from Sensei Sherry and Sensei Brennan. The support we have had from our friends and peers within the KUGB has been awesome. A special thanks to Graham (Sensei to Newtown) for his optimism and encouragement – very much helped the nerves on the day, obviously all the Tekki Seniors who have helped both with instruction and in the capacity of being a target (sorry about my control!!).
