Clive Davies

3rd Dan

I started karate in 1990 in Aberaeron.  I was instantly hooked and soon started to train in the Aberystwyth Dojo as well.

Over the last decade I have trained at a constant and high level and trained with the very best in my style 'Shotokan'.  I have trained with Sensei K. Enoeda (8th Dan), Sensei Andy Sherry (7th Dan), Sensei Terry O'Neill (6th Dan),  Sensei Frank Brennan (6th Dan), and Sensei Otha (6th Dan), but the list is endless.  I have trained with other top instructors of differing styles such as Sensei Harry Cook and found it extremely beneficial as his experience is broad and indepth.

As an instructor I hope I can teach relevant techniques and combinations that the pupil can and take away and use in self-defence.  I try to emphasize on building self-confidence and character building throughout my lesson.

There is always something new to learn in Karate and I feel it is one of the best things I have ever done because you really do get better with time!

"I hope people come and give it a go because it is not as hard as people think!"

Many Thanks, Sensei Clive Davies (3rd Dan)
